The Nightingale Society, in collaboration with the Campus Primary Responders (CPR), participated in a significant vaccination drive organized by the 𝑷𝑨𝑵𝑫𝑨 𝑽𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒆𝒓 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒆 𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒂𝒅𝒆- 𝑫𝑭𝑪𝑨, under the theme “𝑳𝒊𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒈 𝑩𝒂𝒌𝒖𝒏𝒂 𝑲𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒂 𝑷𝒏𝒆𝒖𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒂” on February 4, 2024. Accompanied by their Clinical Instructor, Dr. Maria Angelie D. Tang, the student nurses actively engaged in this important public health initiative.

This vaccination drive represents a crucial strategy in combating infectious diseases and safeguarding the health of communities. By participating, the student nurses not only contributed to the immunization efforts but also gained invaluable hands-on experience that reinforces their education and future practice in healthcare.

The theme of the event highlights the importance of protecting individuals against pneumonia through vaccination, a preventable yet serious illness that can have devastating effects, particularly among vulnerable populations. Initiatives like this are vital in promoting public health awareness and encouraging community participation in health programs.

The UdD Student Nurses express their heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to be part of this impactful vaccination drive. Their involvement underscores a commitment to fostering a healthier and safer environment for all, showcasing the dedication of future healthcare professionals to improving public health outcomes.
