Universidad de Dagupan (UdD) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) โ Pangasinan formally strengthened their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at providing students with greater opportunities for skills development, digital innovation, and career readiness.
Representing the University during the signing ceremony was Chief Operating Officer Sir Jann Alfred Arzadon Quinto, while the DTI delegation was led by Natalia B. Dalaten, Acting Assistant Regional Director and Provincial Director, together with Atty. Joseph Manuel P. Pamittan, Chief Trade and Industry Specialist of the Business Development Division.
The signing ceremony was held earlier today at the University's Audio-Visual Theatre (AVT) and was witnessed by the University's deans, department heads, faculty members, and students, signifying the shared commitment of both institutions to advancing education and industry collaboration.
The partnership supports DTI's initiatives under the Internet Transactions Act of 2023 and the E-Commerce Philippines 2028 Roadmap, promoting digital transformation, e-commerce education, and workforce upskilling. Through this collaboration, UdD students will gain access to learning opportunities, training programs, and extracurricular activities that will equip them with in-demand digital skills and prepare them for future careers.
The MOU also highlights the importance of public-private partnerships in bridging education and industry, empowering students with practical knowledge while contributing to the country's growing digital economy.
This collaboration reaffirms Universidad de Dagupan's commitment to providing quality education and meaningful industry partnerships that prepare students to become competent, innovative, and future-ready professionals.
